Wow the second day is now over and we are growing as a community.  Today we created origami boxes and illuminated our goals are dreams for the year!

Students, please share with your parents how to navigate through this homework blog throughout the school year.  Remember to visit daily  :o)

Welcome Letter:  Students have their Room 301 welcome letter to share with parents.  Parent(s)/Guardian(s) and students, please sign your child's agenda indicating that you have read the letter.

ICT Letter:  A letter has been sent home focussing on the use of online tools such as Blogs, Wikis and Google Drive.  Please discuss this letter with your child and return the form before or byFriday September 11th.  A copy will be made a sent home.

Agendas: each student has received an agenda as we will be using them on a daily basis to schedule class activities, trips and team events for the school year.  Remember to jot down information and check your agenda daily.

READING: students are reminded to bring a book to school to read, they are also invited to borrow books from the classroom.  Daily reading at home is encouraged.  When the school library schedule is created, we will be visiting it regularly to sign out books for enjoyment or research.  The Toronto Public Library is a wonderful place to borrow and sign out books or ebooks.

MATH: "Math is Everywhere".  Complete the Entrance Pass sheet and place it in the Entrance Bin located on the shelf by the class door by Friday Sept. 11th.

Origami Water Balloon; which will be modified into a paper lantern for our class community.

Indoor/Outdoor Shoes:  students are reminded to bring in a second pair of shoes to leave at school (in their lockers) to wear during the instructional day.  This minimizes dirt on our classroom floor as we do sit on the floor often; as well as, to ensure safety in the gym during physical activities.
