Business Day 2016

Congratulations to everyone!
Today's Business Day event was a huge success as students hosted and sold their merchandise to the school community.  All students remained in role as they spread awareness about the importance of the pillar of education and supporting children in Haiti impacted by the 2010 earthquake.  Students connected with various guests and made a true impression on how knowledgable they were as entrepreneurs and the importance of their role in Business Day.  We are so proud! I am so proud to see you all step up as a leader!

A special thanks to our parents for your continued support, behind the scenes and upfront!

Several students were invited to present at the TDSB Unleashing Learning Conference this morning while others showcased their learning at the TLP Tribute Dinner this evening.  Both sessions focussed on being entrepreneurs, the inquiry process and creativity.

CONGRATULATIONS to all students who stepped up as leaders for their class and school community to inspire others both teachers and business partners to continue to learn and innovate together.

These tweets are only a few of the many that were shared via twitter today highlighting student leadership!

Students should be prepared to speak informally to guests about:
-          The nature of their venture
-          The charity they are supporting
-          What they have learned
-          How their learning has impacted them and/or others
-          Have they had fun
-          Anything else that comes to mind; probably much more creative than this list!
